GUEST-Direct COMMUNICATION SYSTEM:
- Authorized hotel computers may print across the
network into the guestroom through the InnTechnology Server (e.g.,
the concierge can print a map or other requested instructions
instantly for a particular guestroom; the golf course can print
tee time confirmations along with directions, coupons, etc.).
Such a computer will be able to print to the InnTechnology Server
as it would to any network printer. After each print event has
been sent, a window will pop up and the hotel staff user will
be asked to enter the room number where that print job should
be directed.
- Hard copies of Folios may be printed across
the network into the guestroom upon direct guest request
through
an Interactive Voice Response interface to the InnTechnology
Server as well as upon guest request through the hotel's
video checkout system (subject to supported PMS integration).
- A personalized, standard Welcome Message from
the hotel will be printed in the room upon check-in. The hotel
will have the ability to modify this message at any time and
to use it to promote hotel services.
- Optionally, tailored Welcome Messages associated
with guest Group Codes may be printed in the room upon check-in.
The hotel will have the ability to create a tailored Welcome
Message for any Group Code. (If no unique Welcome Message is
associated with a Group Code the standard Welcome Message will
be printed.)
- Broadcast messages can be printed across the network
to all rooms or any defined group of rooms. For example, all
the members of a particular convention or group can receive notice
of a meeting, schedule changes, maps, special invitations, promotions,
etc.
- Welcome Messages, Broadcast Messages and/or Folios
can be printed in COLOR.
- Brochures that were previously delivered by
the bell staff can be printed in a guest's room or in a group
of rooms. Creating another income stream for the property.
INN-ROOM OFFICE FEATURES:
- In-room printing from a guest's laptop. The
in-room All-In-One machine uses printer drivers that are
part of standard
Windows installations on laptop computers.
- Private direct fax phone numbers will be managed
by the system for each guestroom. Upon check-in the guest
is automatically assigned a personal fax number. Optionally,
the
guest may be assigned a personal, direct voice telephone
number which, when dialed, will ring directly to the room
telephone.
The guest simply gives these numbers to those who will need
to contact him/her while away from their office. By dialing
the
guest's private voice number the caller is connected directly
to the guest's room phone without first speaking to a hotel operator.
Faxes will be received on the InnTechnology Server and then printed
across the network to the guest's in-room All-In-One.
GENERAL FEATURES:
-
The InnTechnology Server will include an
internal Fax Server. The hotel will be able to route all
Main Number Faxes
into the server. A hotel GSA will use a user remote interface
to view the fax cover page. The UI will include a directory
of all registered guests. Upon the GSA matching the fax
to a particular
guest, the InnTechnology Server will print the guest's
fax directly in his guestroom. KEY BENEFIT: with all Main
Number
Faxes being
received by the server, there will be no more lost guest
faxes as any lost fax can be reprinted.
- The system will bill by the page for guest originated
printed, copied and faxed pages.
-
The system will monitor and report on the following
conditions for each individual All-In-One: ink status;
out-of-paper; pen missing; pen incorrectly installed; pen
failure. Event reporting
to hotel support staff can be by voice mail message and/or
by e-mail.
- The InnTechnology Server will have a friendly
GUI (Graphical User Interface) for easy use by hotel staff
- There will be LAN access into the InnTechnology
Server for night audit and front office access
- Authorized hotel staff can access the InnTechnology
Server via the hotel's network and print materials in selected
guestrooms or groups of rooms.
